08/29/2006 9:56 AM - MACON, Ga. – The Macon Knights Front Office announced today that they will be closing operations for the 2007 season. The Knights Organization knows this a painful decision and is very sorry to disappoint the loyal core group of fans and corporate partners. The Knights will hold a press conference this afternoon at 1:30 pm at Christ Chapel @ Sportstowne in arena 3 to answer any questions. Ed Olson President of the Macon Knights will be available at this time to answer questions about the team ceasing its operations. |

Rickey Foggie was named the af2 Assistant Coach of the Year for the second straight season and brings the Knights their first award for an assistant coach. |
